To do this tap the Edit button from the top toolbar. If you happen to change your mind and you no longer want the conversation pinned to the top of the list you can remove it. Open Messages then tap Edit or the More button.

In your message list tap Edit in the top-left corner of the screen. Open the Messages app on your iPhone.
